Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is simply amazing. It's a little pricey, but if you have the time it's well worth it. At $17.25 for adults and $12.25 (for older children), this zoo is massive, 146 acres, to be exact. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is home to around 1,200 animals of all different varities and species, most of them exotic!
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo boasts several different habitats which include, but are not limited to, The African Valley Rift and Asian Highlands (one of my personal favorite).
This zoo is so much more than a zoo, it's an interactive exhibition of learning and conservation. It boasts several attractions such as a sky ride and a sun shrine. Both of these are tons of fun to do!
This is a mountain zoo and the elevation in itself makes this a more unique experience. The zoo rests at an elevation of 6,800 feet! It's breath-taking! No pun intended.
While you're there don't forget to visit the petting zoo and don't forget to feed the giraffes!
The experience of feeding the giraffes is part of what has me coming back to this zoo, time and time again. It's amazing to see these gentle giants eye-to-eye and to see them eat! So don't forget to buy some crackers!
This is only a small bit of the information on the zoo, they have so much more to offer visitors!
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is welcoming, their animals are friendly and even though you're in a mountain setting, you are almost literally whisked away to places like Africa and Asian.
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the wild just right outside your front door!

Loved the pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun at this zoo. That little squirrel standing up and looking at the camera was adorable. Amazing how long the giraffe's tongue is! And what soulful eyes it has.
